Mrs. Lola R. Hadley, 416 W. Washington Ave., died Monday in Wichita while visiting her daughter.

She was born June 13, 1894 in Marysville, Missouri, to J. C. & Martha Jessie (McDowell) Awalt, and was raised in Marysville, moving with the family to Braman, Oklahoma. She married Dan A. Hadley, September 22, 1916 in Newkirk, and they made their home in Arkansas City. He died September 26, 1968.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include 2 sons, Jack C. Hadley, Tulsa, and Roy E. Hadley, Mankato, Minnesota, 1 daughter Mrs. David (Marjorie) Benjamin, Wichita; her mother, of Wichita; 3 brothers, Fred Awalt, Yates Center; Charles Awalt, Waggoner, Oklahoma; Frank Awalt, Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Huebert, Halstead and Mrs. Ruth Coulson, Fort Worth, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband, a brother, Cliff Awalt and a sister, Mrs. I. M. Winters.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Rindt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Theodore C. Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Death Takes Dan Hadley129

Dan A. Hadley, 74, 416 W. Washington Ave., died at 6:30 a.m. this morning at Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 9, 1894 at Geuda Springs to Arthur Thomas Hadley & Alice Rowe Hadley. He was reared and educated there and came to Arkansas City in 1916. He married Lola R. Awalt on September 22, 1916 at Newkirk, and they made their home there. He was employed as stillman at the Apco Refinery until his retirement in 1959.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Bill Hadley, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Grace Huddle and Mrs. Dollie Bean (Dean).

Survivors include his widow of the home, 2 sons, Jack C. Hadley, Tulsa and Roy E. Hadley, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 1 daughter, Mrs. David (Marjorie) Benjamin, Wichita, 5 brothers, Perry Hadley, Rt. 4, Ben Hadley, Wichita, Joe Hadley, Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri, Bob Hadley, Houston, Texas and Ray Hadley, San Diego, California and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Rindt Memorial chapel with Rev. Clyde D. Masten officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.

Funeral services for Dan A. Hadley, 416 W. Washington Ave., who died Thursday in Memorial Hospital, were Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Rindt Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clyde D. Masten officiating. James K. Miller was the vocalist, with Mrs. Wayne A. Moore as the organist.

Pallbearers were Foster Tipton, Darwin Wright, Guy Kirk, Dennis Shaw, Ed Curtis, Robert Curry, Merton Darnall, and Warren Rush. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery.
