Mrs. Eliza L. Jones, nee Eliza Coulter…being born 15 Sept., 1820 and died at the age of 89, on November 27, 1909 …in Washington IN…..Eliza was married to Wilson Jones, prominent druggist…and the son of Lewis Jones and Anny Brown Jones….Eliza Coulter was 14 years old when she entered Daviess Co. in the spring of 1835. (Her father) Hugh Coulter left Pennsylvania for the rich lands of southern Indiana.  They floated down the Ohio River to a little village which has grown into a city by the name of Albany.  From that point they moved to Daviess Co., IN. This migration trek took them across the country….and they settled in the “barrens” north of Prairie Creek….At the age of 24 she met and married Wilson Jones, resident of Washington.422
