Bartlett appears on the Pittsylvania Co VA Tax List in 1797, 1798, and 1800. Bartlett may be the second poll listed in David Sr.’s 1788 Tax List household. Bartlett appears on the 1809 Hawkins Co TN Tax List593 and is enumerated in the 1830 Hawkins Co TN Federal Census. In 1850, Bartley, age 80, appears in Clinton Co KY with his 2nd wife Alice and their family. Bartlett also served as a private under Col. Edwin Booth and Capt. John Slatton, E. TN Mil during the war of 1812.594
