"to be sold; a good plantation at Middletown, a large neck of land called Weycake Neck, about 12 miles from Amboy, and about 30 miles from New York. There is on it two dwelling houses and a barn, about 50 acres cleared, etc. also another tract of 200 acres, etc. Any persons inclining to purchase both or either the said tracts may apply to Leonard Huff, living on premises, or the Elizabeth Huff at Trenton, who will agree on reasonable term and give good title to the same"

In 1761, Leonard Huff bought land in Agusta Co VA. At the time he was a resident of Halifax Co VA. He still owned the land in 1767:679

Leonard was a surveyor and served in the revolutionary war as a munitions maker. A Leonard Huff appears on a list of names of the men who participated in the Battle of Point Pleasant, first battle of the American Revolution, 10 October 1774.681

He was a member of the Big Pigeon Baptist Church in Cocke Co TN in 1789:682

Met at PETER FINES on frensh Broud the 28th of February 1789 and after prays proseaded to buisness- proposed whither any Objections Against the former plan of this Constitution answear.d None --SAMUEL HILL Receiv.d into the Church by letter of recmendation - proposed for the Day of Church Meeting to bee the Saturday before the first sabath in the month.
