Hatch866 Maj. Louis Bowman Hatch Jr., Ret. U.S. Army died July 1, 1991 at Laughlin Air Force Base Hospital at the age of 48.
Born Nov. 19,1942 in Sarasota, Fla., he resided at 210 Rickenbacker. He was a graduate of Southwest Texas State University with a B.A.. He received his master's degree from Webster College in St. Louis, Mo. in human relations and management. In 1987 he was an instructor at Southwest Junior College, introduction to theatre. He was presently employed at the United Medical Clinic as a substance abuse counselor. He was very active in community theater. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church where he was also a lay reader. He was a member of the Gideons. He married Julia Finger in 1965 and had recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary on December 1990.
He is survived by his wife Julia Hatch of Laughlin; sons and daughter-in-laws: Louis B. Ill (Trey) and Valerie Hatch, Timothy M. and Reene Hatch all of Seattle, Wash., also, Eben C. Hatch of Austin, Petty Officer Ellis G. and Wendy Hatch of Meridian, Miss.; grandson: Louis B. Hatch IV of Seattle; mother: Elaine Hatch of Gainesville, Fla.; sister: Elaine Hall of Winter Park, Fla.
Visitation for family and friends will be at 10 a.m. Thursday until 9 p.m. at Humphreys- Doran Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 5 at St. James Episcopal Church with Rev. Gary Lillibridge officiating.
Graveside Services will be at 2:45 p.m. Friday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted. Honorary pallbearers will be all sons and Mark Moore and John Harris. Family request any memorial contributions be made to the Gideons 1001 E. 3rd St,, Del Rio, 78840.
