Travis Virginia Harris558 Travis Virginia Robertson Harris, age 82, of Austin passed away at home on May 2, 2009. She was born April 20, 1927 in Temple, Texas to Agnes (Griffith) Robertson and James Miller Robertson.
A native Texan, Travis lived in the Port Arthur and Central Texas area all her life. Travis graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and moved to Round Rock where she lived with her first husband, John Manley, for many years. During this time. Mrs. Harris worked as an underwriter with the Farmers Insurance Group. She married Charles Edward Harris, the love of her life, on September 28, 1973. They lived in Austin for many years until they built their final home at Lake Travis. Ed and Travis loved to travel and enjoyed many adventures in their RV.
Travis was a member of the Hudson Bend Garden Club and served as Club President for a number of years. She was a long-time resident of the Travis Landing neighborhood. She loved her community, her home, and her many friends. She will be remembered with affection and greatly missed. Her devoted friend, Whiskus, will especially miss her.
Her beloved husband, Ed, and brother James Robertson, preceded Mrs. Harris in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Carlson of Everett, WA; grandson, Kenneth Stephens III (wife Nydia); granddaughter, Elizabeth Stephens; and six dearly-beloved great-grandchildren

Charles Edward Harris, Jr.879 Charles Edward Harris, Jr., age 81, of Austin, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. He was born on October 6, 1924 in Georgetown, Texas to Ida (Shaw) and Charles Edward Harris, Sr. who were long-time Georgetown residents.
Charles himself was a long-time resident in Georgetown for 49 years, later moving to Austin where he resided for another 32 years.
He was Director of Travis Landing Property Owners Association, Optimist Club, and former owner of Troy Laundry, Inc. of Georgetown and Taylor, Tex. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Travis R. Harris of Austin, Tex.; daughter, Rachel Foster of Houston, Tex.; daughter, Zona Moureau of Salinas, Calif.; daughter, Nancy Carlson of Everett, Wash.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Ed's life will be held at a future date to be determined. Family and friends will be notified and welcomed.
