MOORLNGSPORT - Charles Henry Jones, 79, died Friday in a Vivian hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Mooringsport Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Edmondson and the Rev. R. W. Gordon officiating.

Burial will be in the Laws Chapel Cemetery in Atlanta, Tex. under the direction of the Hanner Funeral Home of Vivian Mr. Jones had lived in Mooringsport for the past 48 years and was a member of the Mooringsport Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow; seven daugnters, Mrs. Rachei Carroll, Mrs. Lorene Clem both of Mooringsport, Mrs. Ruby Woolsey of Shreveport, Mrs. Ethel Parker and Mrs. Hazel Grimes both of Houston, Tex., Mr. Charline Bron of Oil City, Mrs. Pauline McGee of Vivian; four brothers, Melvin Jones and Everett Jones of Corcoran, Calif., George Jones of Porterville, Calif, and Herman Jones of Dodridge, Ark.; 27 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rebecca May Jones, 84, of Mooringsport died Monday in the North Caddo Memorial Hospital in Vivian after a lengthy illness.

She had been a resident of Mooringsport for the past 57 years and was a native of Atlanta, Tex.

The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the McGuire Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian. Burial will be in Laws Chapel Cemetery in Atlanta, Tex.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Rachel Carroll, Mrs. Hazel Grimes and Mrs. Ethel Parker, all of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Pauline McGee and Mrs. Charline Brown, both of Vivian, Mrs. Lorene Clem of Mooringsport and Mrs. Ruby Crawford of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Yandle of Henderson, Tex.; one brother, Elmer Hartley of Gobler, Mo.; 28 grandchildren, 57 greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Jones was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mooringsport.
