"Cindy" was a Mavette officer at Marshall High School. After graduating from MHS, she attended East Texas Baptist University, then Stephen F. Austin University, and again ETBU, from which she received a B.S. degree with majors in business and biology. She then attended the nursing school at the University of Texas-Tyler, where she received her nursing license.

Like her mother, Cindy has red hair and fair complexion. She met her husband while working at Marshall Memorial Hospital (now Marshall Regional Medical Center).

Both she and her husband are members of the First Methodist Church of Shreveport.1026
