MRS. ELIZABETH M. BUTLER1368EDMOND - Services for Mrs. Elizabeth M. Butler, 88. of Edmond, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Baggerley Funeral Home with hurial in Rose Hill Cemetery. She died Wednesday in a nursing home.
She was born in Paulola County, Miss.. moved to Texola in 1903. lived in Oklahoma Cily and Stillwater, and moved to Edmond in 1963,
She was a charter member of the Pennsylvania Avenue Christian Church in Oklahoma City and was a 50-year member of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Adam, 2632 NW 68, and a daughter, Mrs. Frances Higgins, Stillwater.

1369. I am inclined to think that her real middle name was Martin. She was listed as Lizzie M. Brown in her first census, at 3 months of age, and in her newspaper obituary.
Born December 10, 1864 at Pleasant Grove, Mississippi (Panola County). His father was a confederate soldier who died soon after the army was dismissed, and before Lewis was a year old. He was the father of Mabel and Clem, and the husband of Henreitta. After Henrietta (Henny) died, he married her sister, Elizabeth, and they had two more children, Adam and Frances. While living in Texola, Oklahoma the Butler's owned and ran a grocery store in the early 1900s. He died in Oklahoma City at 1304 N W 16th. on August 1, 1925.

The house was formerly owned by Mr Rayburn of Benonine and is the third residence Mr Butler has moved from Benonine to Texola this year.
