Kenneth,
It has been great hearing from you and learning all that I can from you and Clayton. I am new to this finding information on my family and most places I look want you to pay to look before you see the info. I will help you any way I can, but you probably have more reliable info than I do. No one in my family has kept info and I have had to get help from my new found family in New Mexico. I am Kevin Ray Hobbs, son of Danny Ray Hobbs, son of William Washington Hobbs, son of James(Jim) Alvin Hobbs, Son of William James Hobbs, Son of Amry Oliver Hobbs. My great grandfather was born Mar. 5, 1876 and died Dec. 12, 1964. He was married to a Lou Cora Ivey, who was borned Jan. 30, 1876 and died Jun. 25, 1957. I don't have a marrige date on them. I know of three of their children. There is Ida Hobbs, Cecil Hobbs, And My granddad William Washington Hobbs. I don't know any dates on Cecil. His family did not put a headstone and the marker is gone. Ida married a Marvin W. Lewis. She was born Mar. 29,1906 and died Nov. 14, 1992. My granddad was born Dec. 6, 1903 and died Dec. 13, 1982. My granddad is buried in the Eastland cemetary and great granddad is buried in the Carbon cemetary. William(B.W.), my granddad, fathered 11 children. One was a miscarry and one was born dead. That leaves 9. There was 4 boys and 5 girls. They were Margie Hobbs, Margaret Hobbs, Bill Hobbs, Robert Hobbs, Ruby Hobbs,Velma Hobbs,Ora Hobbs,Rick Hobbs, and my dad Danny Hobbs. Now three of the boys and one of the girls is gone. We got word of the reunion in August and my dad is planning on attending it to. We went to Glencove and now to this one. I can get off of work, but dad is to take pictures and take notes. Kenneth, talking of being brief, I guess I will talk later. Any questions please email me. Continue to email me with info and just to say hi even though we have never met. I will tell my dad about the reunion of the others in Whitney, Texas. BYE FAMILY.
