"Levi (Rice), youngest son of the pioneer Henry (Rice) married Mary C. Mitchell, daughter of Isaac and Mary Williams Mitchell, and granddaughter of Ursula Henderson and Daniel Williams. Isaac Mitchell had removed with wife and children to Newberry District, South Carolina, and later to Abbeyville District where he died. His will signed June 23, 1789, probated October 6, 1789, named his wife and children, Ursula, Mary Catharine, Sarah, and Isaac Jr. Levi Rice signed for his wife...."

"...." Melvin credits this paragraph to a book, "Cantrell-Rice-Mackie" by Lucylle Rice Davis of Waynesville, Missouri written about 1960;
