"BYROM-BROOKS
Robert E. Byrom was of English descent. His descendants came to the colonies in the 18th century. They settled in Virginia, then later moved to Franklin County, Tennessee.
Milton Byrom and Sarah Walker Byrom were Robert E. Byrom's parents. They were born in the early 1800's and died in 1880 and 1875 repectively.
Robert E. Byrom married Blanche Brooks on November 19, 1893.
Blanche Brooks' parents were James Madison Brooks and Sarah Ann Pittman.
The Robert E. Byroms were the parents of five sons and one daughter.
Travis C. Byrom, rancher, married Alta McDonald, July 19, 1926. they were the parents of three daughters and three sons.
Dr. Dewitt T. Byrom, M.D., resided and worked in Waco, Texas.
Marshall M. Byrom, teacher and car broker, married Iren Miller in Katy, Texas, in 1931. They were the parents of two daughters.
Ethel Byrom, who married Joe V. Davidson, on April 3, 1929, was a school teacher, wife, mother, and homemaker. They are the parents of three sons.
Truett R. Byrom, rancher, married Bernice Davidson, January 17, 1927. They were the parents of one son and two daughters.
Dr. Everett E. Byrom, dentist, married Florence May on January 15, 1929. They are the parents of one son and one daughter.
Robert E. Byrom was not only a succuessful farmer and rancher, but was also a Baptist minister. Bothe he and Mrs. Byrom were not only loved by their families, but were loved and respected by all who knew them. Byrom."

He was not only a successful farmer and rancher, but was also a Baptist Minister. He established and built the Edwards-Byrom Baptist Church on a piece of his land and was the pastor there for many years. (GK - update to HHB)
