Funeral services for William McKiniey Stephens Sr., a resident of Baytown for 47 years, were conducted at !0 a.m. Sunday in Earthman Chapel.

The Rev. Mack Smoke, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, officiated ot the services. Burial was m Gourd Creek Cemetery at New Waverly.

Stephens, 65, retired from employment with Humble Oil & Refining Co., died ot I a.m. Friday in a Baytown hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Stephens of Baytown; five daughters, Mrs. Joyce Warren, Mrs. Doris Williams and Mrs. Peogy White, all of Baytown, Mrs. Mary Lou Wimberly of Cloverleaf and Mrs. Marjorie Laza of Rosenberg; a son. William McKiniey Stephens Jr, of Baytown; a brother, Louis Stephens of Houston; two sisters, Mrs Evie Scott of Walnut Springs, Tex., and Mrs Ellie Sonders of Wichita Falls; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mike Collier, Willie Henderson, Edmond Collord, Otis Collord, M. L. Collord and C. A. Collord.

MRS. MYRTLE STEPHENS

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Stephens, 63, of 16 Sam Houston Courts, were held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Paul U. Lee Chapel.

Rev. M. H. Smoke of Shiloh Baptist Church and the Rev. A. E. Weatherly of Garth Road Baptist Church officiated.

Mrs. Stephens died at 7:15 p.m. Friday in a Houston hospital. She was a native of Stephenville and came here 46 years ago.

Graveside services were to be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Gourd Creek Cemetery near New Waverly. Rev. Weatherly was to officiate. Burial was under the direction of the Paul U. Lee Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stephens is survived by one son, William M. Stephens of Baytown; five daughters, Mrs. Joyce Tronojo, Mrs. Dorris Williams, Mrs. Margie Laza and Mrs. Peggy White, all of Baytown; Mrs. Mary Lou Wimberly ol Greens Bayou; her mother, Mrs. J. P. Starling of La Grange; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Owens and Mrs. Francis Davis of Bastrop, Mrs. Betty Kuhn of La Grange; four brothers, J. E. Starling and A. C. Starling, both of Baytown, J. D. Starling of Texas City and J. II Starling of Houston. Pallbearers were C. G. Williams, R. J. Wimberlv, Louis Collard, Eddie Collard. Otis Collard and Edmond Collard.
