BROWNSVILLE - Elizabeth Brunson Hathcock, age 93, died in Haywood Park Community Hospital, Brownsville, Tennessee, Saturday, December 18, 2004. She was born December 11, 1911 in Latta, South Carolina to the late Samuel Edward Brunson and Mary Jane Bethea Brunson. Her husband, Robert William Hathcock, preceded her in death in 1948.
Mrs. Hathcock graduated from Columbia College, Columbia, South Carolina with many honors and taught fifth grade at Anderson Grammar School in Brownsville. She was a member of Brownsville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors are a son: "Bill" Hathcock and his wife, Thelma, Charlotte, NC; a daughter: Robbie Lukes and her husband, Bill, Miami, FL; a sister: Sara Stafford, Jacksonville, FL: four grandchildren: Rasha Lukes, Rachelle Lukes, William Hathcock, and Emaline Hathcock; a niece; and many nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 22, 2004 in the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. H. K. Sorrel) and Rev. Bob Con-nerley officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery at Nut-bush, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Cemetery Association; Brownsville Baptist Church Women's Ministry; or the Gideons.
