Mayoma Maxine Heathcock Campbell – Mayoma Maxine Heathcock, 91, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the General Baptist Nursing Home, in Campbell.

Mrs. Heathcock, daughter of Marcus M. and Cora Elizabeth Burden Mackey, was born on Tuesday, October 30, 1923, in Campbell.

She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Campbell and retired from John’s Produce. On December 31, 1945 in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Orval Ray Heathcock. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2003.

Her survivors include two daughters, Ginger Leford and husband, Gary of Campbell, Faye Jean Buie and husband, Scotty of Malden; four grandchildren, Scott Miles of Nashville, Shannon Buie and Sarah Powers both of Campbell and Heath Buie of Salem, Missouri; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Marcus Jean Mackey and wife, Denie of Little Rock, Arkansas and one sister-in-law, Inease Mackey of Lion, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Allen Ray Heathcock; two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Landess Funeral Home, in Campbell. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, with Reverend Marty Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow at Stanfield Cemetery, in Clarkton, Missouri.

Orval Ray Heathcock of Campbell died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, at the age of 80 years, four months, and 20 days.

He was born Sept. 9, 1922, in Booneville, Ms., the son of the late George W. and Minnie M. McCoy Heathcock.

He was united in marriage to Mayoma Maxine Mackey on Dec. 31, 1945, in Piggott. To this union three children were born.

He was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 109 in Campbell. He retired as a maintenance worker from John's Produce. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Minnie M. McCoy Heathcock; one son, Allen Ray Heathcock; one brother, Edsel Heathcock, and three sisters, Willadean Collins, Bernice Johnston and Elowise Vaughn.

He is survived by his wife, Mayoma Heathcock of Campbell; two daughters, Ginger Evans of Campbell and Faye Buie and husband, Scotty, of Malden; three grandsons, Scott Miles and Shannon Buie of Campbell and Heath Buie of Salem, Mo.; one granddaughter, Sarah Powers of Campbell; three great-grandsons, Clint Miles, Kyler Miles and Jake Buie; five great-granddaughters, Makinley Powers, Daley Powers, Blaney Powers, Madelyn Miles and Cheyenne Buie; and one sister, Virginia Mackey of Lions, Ill.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, with Rev. Jeff Gatewood officiating. Burial was in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton. Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of arrangements.
