– 1511 McGavock Pike, early Saturday Morning, February 7, 1970, at a local infirmary Survived by his wife, Mrs Mattie Louise Hathcock; one son, Stanley Hathcock of Nashville; one foster daughter, Mrs. Mary Louise Phinizy of Sumter, S.C.; two grand children; two great-grandchildren. Remains rest at the funeral home of Phillips Robinson Company where funeral services will be conducted Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock. Rev. Elbert Walkup and Rev. James Lovell will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers: Men's Bible Class of Inglewood Methodist Church, Dr. James M. Hud gins, Dr. Theo Davis, J. Wesley Field, Harvey T. Schneider, Gerald Turner, Briggs Nix, A. B. Tockley, Finis Cartwright, Tom Little. Active: Charles Hentz, Billy Hentz, Charles E. Adwell, L. N. Adwell, Alfred Hathcock J. Fred Hathcock, Milton Hathcock, John Halliburton. Mattie Louise (Alley) Hathcock2466 was born on October 6, 1888 in Tennessee, the daughter of Andrew Jackson Alley (1859–1947) and Emma Leonte (McWhirter) Alley (1867–1934).

She was married on June 9, 1912 in Davidson County to Addison Sherman "A S" Hathcock, who was born on November 12, 1892 in Tennessee. At the time he signed his World War I Draft Registration Card in June 1917, Addison was listed as a US Postal Service letter carrier.

Mattie was 88 years old when she passed away on November 9, 1976 in Nashville.

Survivors included son Addison "Stanley" Hathcock (1859-1947), sister Mrs S E Adwell, niece Mrs Early Phinizy Jr, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at Phillips Robinson Funeral Home, and burial was in Spring Hill Mausoleum.
