YOAKUM - Funeral services for Gus Lee Miller Jr., 67, of Corpus Christi, formerly of Victoria, who died at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday at his residence following a short illness, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Buffington Funeral Home chapel with Mr. Chelsey Stevens officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 17, 1921 in Chattanooga, Tenn., son of the late Gus Lee Miller Sr. and Emma Pearsley Miller. A member of the Church of Christ of Corpus Christi, he was retired as a salesman for Armour and Co. after 32 years of service. '
Surviving are his wife. Billie Faye "Polly" McCauley Miller of Corpus Christi; three daughters, Vicky Obenhaus and Rebecca Seelig. both of Houston, and Paula Mokry of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Margie Mercer and Welma Dryden, both of Fort Worth; a brother, Raymond Miller of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lee Miller, Dwight Dowell. Stan Dowell, Charles Wilson, Richard Jacobs and Lee Philips.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
