Roger J. Clark, 90, of Victoria, died Thursday in a local hospital.
He was born Feb. 28, 1900, in Speaks, son of the late Henry and Georgia Irene Kerr Clark. A teacher until his retirement, he was a member of the Baptist Temple Church of Victoria, Texas State Teachers Association, National Retired Teachers Association and Victoria Retired Teachers Association. He graduated in 1931 with a master of arts degree from the University of Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Colonial Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. J.V. Helms of the Baptist Temple Church officiating. Burial will follow in Speaks Cemetery at 4 p.m.
Surviving are his wife, Maisie Gates Clark of Victoria.
Pallbearers are Clark Flournoy, William Edgar Clark, Terrell F. Gates Jr., David Ing, Daniel Ing and Billie Joe Nolan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
