I have looked through the will of Edward Wykes of Wells and Shiplate. His only son is William - no others mentioned. He names his daughters; Jane, Alice, Silvester and Sarah.
Will in UK National Archives and available online: PCC Reference - PROB 11/200/366.
Edward had a sister Phillipe who married (1) Rev. Richard Adams, Doctor of Divinty and (2) Thomas Godwyn (1587-1642), D.D Headmaster & Scholar. (I prefer original documents, so many wrong books out there!)
Jane Wykes was interred in Wells Cathedral on 8 August 1666. (Floorslab. On this stone is the matrix from which a square brass plate has been taken. The Cathedral Register records the burial on 8 Aug. 1666 of " Jane Wykes, widow of Mr Edward Wykes.")
