Cornelius Turner Henley, b 20 May 1728, inherited the “Tuckhoe” estate on the James, now called “Piney Grove.” His son, Leonard m. Elizabeth Dandridge, the widow Aylett, sister to Martha Dandridge Cusis Washington. Among their children: Captain Robert Henley, USN, dsp. He received medal for his part in the Battle of Lake Champlain; his brother, Commodore John Dandridge Henley m. Elizabeth Dennison of Maryland. Their daughter Elizabeth Henley m. Admiral Stephen Luce, USN. She was the author of the manuscript, “The Family of Henley,” found in the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution Library.2167
