FOUNTAIN INN - Mrs. Lula Chandler Nelson, 85, of Rt. 1, Peden Road, widow of Claude P. Nelson, died Sunday.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late J.R. and Elizabeth Adair Chandler, she was a member of Hillside Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, W. Carl Nelson of Ocean Springs, Miss., Charles P. Nelson of Simpsonville, James Albert Nelson of Jacksonville, Fla., R. Leon Nelson of Greenville and Waymon B. Nelson of Greer; five daughters, Bertha Nelson and Myrtle Nelson of the home, Mrs. Nettie Mae King of Simpsonville, Mrs. Frances Weese of Elkins, W. Va. and Mrs. Lois Soper of Marysville, Wash.; a brother, CP. Chandler of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m.
