A graveside service was conducted Monday at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson for Annie E. Hathcoat of Empire, who died June 29 at Hillhaven Convalescent Hospital in Modesto. She was 84. Mrs. Hathcoat is the mother of J.D. Hathcoat of Oakdale and the sister of Homer Hankins of Oakdale. Lakewood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A native of Proten, Mo., Mrs. Hathcoat lived in Empire 54 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Empire Church of Christ. Mrs. Hathcoat is also survived by her children, Betty Cochran, Callie Gamer, Wanda Goodman and Homer Hathcoat, all of Empire, Bazzle Hathcoat of Hughson and Brenda Archibeque of Newport, Wash.; a brother, Herman Hankins of North Carolina; a sister, Pansy Jennings of Porterville; and 31 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.3511
