Dr. I. A. Hathcock, an old and well known citizen of this community, died at his home on Vance street yesterday evening of heart disease. He has been in ill health for a year, although his death came as a distinct shock to relatives and friends. Mr. Hathcock was 73 years of age and is survived by his wife and seven children. He was a native of Big Lick, Stanly county, and the funeral services will be held at Meadow creek church tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock.
