Warrreton — William Wirt Haithcock, 68, died suddenly at his home near Macon Warren County at 10:30 o'clock Friday night after having been in declining health for the past year
He was the son of the latp Henry Clay and Ancie Conn Haithcock of Warren County and was a member of he Gardner's Baptist Church, active in the civic llfe of the community, and a prominent farmer in the county.
Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Emma Wall Haithcock of Warren County; and four children, Claud M Haithcock of Macon, H. C. of the University of North Caroline at Chapel Hill; Harvey J. of Warrenton and Mrs John C Overton of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren and two brothers, Henry G Haithcock of Macon and Hugh W Haithcock of Littleton.
Funeral services will he held from Gardner's Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the pastor, the Rev E. Grey Jones officiating Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

WARRENTON — Mrs Emma Wall Haithcock, 83, died Sunday in a rest home at Elm City. She was a member of Gardner's Baptist Church Her husband, the late William W Haithcock died in 1942. Funeral services will be conducted from Gardner's Baptist Church Tuesday at 2:30 pm by the Rev H L Stewart. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs J C Overton, Rocky Mount; three sons, Harvey J and Claude M Haithcock, Macon; Herbert C Haithcock, Spray; one sister, Mrs A R Delbridge, Littleton; five grandchildren.
