WARRENTON— Henry Grady Haithcock, 71, died at his residence in Macon at 6 a m Sunday. Mr Haithcock was a member of Gardner's Baptist Church. The son of the late Henry Clay and Angle Conn Haithcock of Warren County, Mr Haithcock was for years associated with the N C Prisons Department, serving as one of the first officials of the Warren County camp and as foreman of the road gang for several years. Later he was connected with the government as a guard in the Norfolk Navy Yard and at Camp Butner. At the close of the war he served as chief of police of Macon until his health failed and forced him to retire reveral months ago. Funeral services were conducted from Gardner's Baptist Church Monday at 2:30 pm. The pastor the Rev Charles Fulbright conducted the rites assisted by the Rev R E Brickhouse of Macon and Warren Plzins. Interment was in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, the former Kate Gilliland, three daughters, Mrs A C (Lillian L) Mills and Mrs H B (Lois) Linkous of Hampton Va and Mrs Wilton (Lena) Boyd of Macon four sons E C Haithcock of Spencer, W B Haithcock of Cliffside, L B Haithcock of Butner, and M K Haithcock of Arlington Va and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Kate Haithcock, 87, of Macon, N. C, died Monday in Warren General Hospital, Warrenton, N. C, after a long illness. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Grant Mills, Mrs. H. B. Linkous, both of Hampton, and Mrs. Lena Lloyd of North Carolina; three sons, W. B. Haithcock, E. C. Haithcock, both of North Carolina, and Maynard Haithcock of Arlington; one sister and one brother, both of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Family requests that expression of sympathy be in form of contributions to Gardners Baptist Church, Macon, N. C.
