Mrs. Carol King Cochran, 65, of 4015 West Capitol Street, Jackson, died Monday afternoon, June 16 at St. Dominic’s Hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18 from Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband. J.S. Cochran of Jackson; a daughter, Lynn Justice Brock of Collinsville: a son, Jeff Cochran of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. I.R. King, Sr., of Lexington; a sister, Mrs. Malissa King Temple of Lexington; three brothers, I. R. King, Jr. of Lexington, Louis King of Nesbit and D.A. King of Lincoln, Arkansas.

Mrs. Cochran was a native of Brownsville. Tenn., and grew up in Lexington and had made her home in Jackson for 40 years. She was a member of West Park United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers were Ray Palmer, David Nimon, J.P. Seymour, Jim Carruth, J.C. Sorrell and L.B. Peterson.

John Wiley Justice, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 25 in Pass Christian.

A Holmes County native, he graduated from Madison County Agricultural High School, Camden; attended Rice University, Houston, Texas and Centenary College, Shreveport, La. He was an outstanding athlete during high school and played professional baseball later. For many years, he was associated with The Bruce Co. in construction and pest control. He owned Terminix franchises in Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana.

An expert in the field of insulation, he participated in seminars related to the use and installation of insulation. He advised and supervised the installation of insulation in many military bases in all parts of the world. He operated, as an individual contractor, out of home offices located in Mississippi, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Tennessee. He along with A. W. Adkins founded the J and A Corporation in Shreveport specializing in pest control.

In 1993 he moved from Shreveport to Pass Christian, where he married his high school sweetheart, Frances (Polly) Mansell Justice, who survives him. Other survivors are daughter, Lynn Justice Brock, Collinsville; step children Rowe S. Crowder, Jr., Huntsville, Ala. and Elizabeth Velazquez, Valrico, Fla.; step-brothers, Hubert McNeer, Destin, Fla. and C. E. McNeer, Durant; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, Feb. 28 in Live Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society or church of your choice.
