Mildred B. Bardwell
Mildred Williams Britt Bardwell, 78, of McComb, died April 28, 2008, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb until services there at 11 a.m., with Dr. David Millican officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Lincoln County at a later date.
Mrs. Bardwell was born July 31, 1929, in Copiah County. She was the daughter of Robert Lafayette and Willie Patterson Williams.
She was a retired supervisor for Potter Company in Wesson, and was a member of the former First Church of The Nazarene in McComb. Mrs. Bardwell was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charles “Monvil” Britt; a son, Robert Henry “Bobby” Britt ofBrookhaven; four brothers, Robert, Henry, James and C.A. Williams; and three sisters, Helen Woodall, Clara Haley and Nancy Mason.
Mrs. Bardwell’s survivors include her husband of 20 years, Albert “Pete” Bardwell of McComb; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles “Monnie” and Bonnie Britt ofBrookhaven and Kenny and Debbie Britt of Wesson; two daughters and one son- in-law, Kathy Miller, and Marilyn and Buster Brown, all Brookhaven; one stepson and his wife, Dennis and Peggy Bardwell ofBrookhaven; one sister, Flonnie Turnbo ofWesson; three sisters-in-law, Dot Yates and her husband Edward, Mae Cutrer and Jessie Hunt, all McComb; 12 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
