Mangum Jeweler Dies After Crash3761

A prominent Mangum jeweler, Orphie "Slick" Neathery, 68, died at Mangum from injuries suffered in an automobile accidept Monday night. The accident happened at 8:10 p.m. Monday when Neathery, going south on U. S. 283 in Mangum, struck a parked car. He traveled 155 feet after the crash, stopping in a filling stalion driveway. Trooper Charles High said Neathery didn't appear to have been seriously hurt when he talked to him after the crash. He died in Southwestern Baptist hospital.

The body was taken to Mangum, Oklahoma Saturday for service Monday at10 o’clock In the Greer Funeral Home Chapel In that city. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Magnum.
