Services for Edith C. Boggs, 86, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday December 1, 2004 at the Woodland Baptist Church in Haywood County with Reverend Michael Moore and Dr. R.G. "Bob” Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery. Mrs. Boggs died on Monday November 29, 2004 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Boggs was born on May 28, 1918 in the Denmark community the daughter of the late Harvey Prince and Hannah Dickinson Curlin. She was married to Jamie Boggs who preceded her in death in 1976. Mrs. Boggs, a graduate of Mercer High School, was a life long member of the Woodland Baptist Church in Haywood County.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Boggs and wife Lacinda of Jackson, TN; a daughter, Emma Jean Vailes and husband Don of Denmark, TN; a brother, H. P. Curlin of Jackson; a sister, Ernestine Massey of Denmark, TN; four grandchildren, Gregory Boggs Vailes and wife Michelle, Michael A, Vailes and wife Dianne, Carol Ann Cannon and husband Doug and Stephen Vailes and wife Holly; 9 great grandchildren, Chad Ervin, Hunter Ervin, Ashlee Vailes, Allison Vailes, Joseph Vailes, Jamie Lauren Vailes, Jonathan Vailes, Daniel Vailes and Luke Vailes; three step grandchildren, Kim Masoud and wife Jan, Keith Masoud and wife Melody and Ginger Masoud and three step great grandchildren, Caitlin, Will and Ashton Masoud, thirteen nieces and nephews and several cousins.

Mr. Boggs, farmer and landowner of Route 1, Denmark, died at 8 a.m. Saturday at Jackson-Madison County General Rospital after a long illness.
Surviving are his widow, Edith Curlin Boggs; a son, Jimmy Boggs of Denmark; a daughter, Mrs. Don Vailes of Memphis; three grandsons and a granddaughter.
