Frances Evelyn P. Stafford, 84, of Kentwood, La., died Jan. 25, 2008, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La.
Visitation is 6 to 9 tonight at McKneely Funeral Home of Kentwood and 9 a.m. Monday at East Fork Baptist Church until services there at 11 a.m. The Rev. Howard Brister will officiate. Burial will be in East Fork Cemetery in Kentwood.
Mrs. Stafford was born July 25, 1923, in Kentwood to Monroe Wesley Potts Sr. and Massie Belle Varnado Potts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Wallace Francis Stafford; two sisters, Edna Grice and Cerese Potts; two brothers, Monroe Wesley Potts Jr., and Felix Henry Potts; and a son-in-law, John Slaven.
Survivors include a daughter, Marie Slaven of Kentwood; a sister and brother-in-law, Flora Belle and Whyman Slaven of Kentwood; a sister-in-law, Ivel Potts of Baton Rouge; two granddaughters and their husbands, Janet and Jack Allen, and Delynn and Joshua McMorris, all of Kentwood; four great-grandchildren, Stephen Craig Allen, Courtney Lynne Allen, Skylar Wade McMorris and Dylan Blake McMorris, all of Kentwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
