Thomas A. Hammond Saturday at 8 30 a. m. while en route to a Greer Hosnital. TAYLORS. Oct. 25 Thomas A Hammond, 53, Rt. 1, Taylors, died though in declining health for the, nns-!past year, his death was unex- 'peeled Mr Hammond was a lifelong! resident of Greenville County, be-Greenville ling a son of the late Herbert and hlla Parks Hammond. He was a veteran of World War 1, serving for two years, and was a member of Locust Hill Baptist Church. He was also a member of Mountain View W.O.W. Camp No. 532. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pauline Duncan Hammond, Rt. 1, Taylors; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Huff, Greenville, Mrs. Robert Butler, Rt. 1. Travelers Rest, Mrs. Floyd Brown, Foley, Ala., Miss Polly Hammond, Rt. 1, Tavlors: two sons. Thomas I). C, Mrs. Jimmy Allen, Mrs. F.arnestine Wilson, and Mrs. Jim Henderson, all of Greenville Also surviving ire six grandchil dren. Funeral services will be conduct ed at 3 p. m. Monday at Locust Hill Baptist Church by tne Kev. Claude H. Ha in by. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The following nephews will meet at the church at 2:45 p. m. Monday to serve as pallbearers: the Kev. Herbert Baker. Woodrow, Robert, Audrey and Edwin Hammond and the Kev. Ralph Hammett. The deacons of Locust Hill Baptist Church will meet at the church at the same hour and compose the honorary escort. After 11 a. m. Sunday the body will be at the home, Rt. 1, Taylors and will be placed in the church at 2 p. m. Monday to await the hour of service.
