Henry Maynard has been proven by DNA to be ancestor of Clayton Heathcock Jr. In research carried out in November 2020 it was found that Mr. Larry Dimmett, a 6G grandson of Henry Maynard by a well sourced and documented path shares 20 cM of DNA with Clayton Heathcock Jr. The path from Clayton back had previously terminated with Joseph Hobbs, b 29 Nov 1789 in Maryland. The DNA correlation still does not prove who was the father of Joseph Hobbs 1789, but it makes it highly likely that John Hobbs and Rachel Maynard were his grandparents.
