Frank Layton McFarland Sr. of Elvins was born December 5, 1900 in Elvins a son of the late Luther McFarland and Sarah Wright McFarland and died April 10 at Bonne Terre Hospital at the age of 72.
Surviving are: two sons Frank L. McFarland Jr. of Sullivan and Thurman E. McFarland of Flat River; one daughter Linda (Mrs. Ronald Vassallie) of Sullivan; four grandsons; two brothers, Charles McFarland and James McFarland both of Elvins; three sisters, Mrs. Susie Smith of Elvins, Ruth (Mrs. Paul Hoehn) of Elvins and Mable (Mrs. Lawrence Howard), of Maplewood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters. FuneraL service will be Friday 2 p.m. at the Elvins First Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Huffman officiating. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The body will be in state at the Caldwell Chapel, East Main, Flat River.
