Henry D. Bowren, 79, of 200 Light St., died early today at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dallas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Rudolph-Snider Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. L. W. Dollar officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park
Mr Bowren was born Jan 8, 1897, at Batesville, Ark., and moved to Ellis County in 1936. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his widow; 3 sons, Richard D., and Onus Bowren, both of Waxahaehie, and Houston Bowren of Midlothian; 3 daughters, Mrs. Vivian Richard of Grand Prairie, Mrs Eunice Morgan of Ore City and Mrs. Ruth Sides of Waxahaehie; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. The family will stay at 704 Ellis St.
