CANTON — Funeral services for Odell Taylor, 52, of Canton are set at 2 p.m. Sunday in ihe chapel of Hilliard Funeral Home with the Rev. Gail Williams officiating. Burial will be in Haven in Memories Cemetery in Van Zandt County.
Mr. Taylor died Friday afternoon in Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler after a short illness. He was a retired lieutenant in flie United States Army, and had resided here most of his life. He had 20 years military service from 1933-1953. A member of First Methodist Church here, he was also a member of Canton Masonic Lodge No. 141 AF&AM.
Since his return to Canton, he was in the real estate business.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Taylor: a son, Robert Taylor of Canton: a daughter, Mrs. Dian Langley of Canton; his father, Hermie Taylor of Canton: and a brother, Loyd Taylor of Canton: and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harlton Guess. Buster Guess. Jay Manery, Harold Turner, and F. H. Stegall and Charles Everett.
