Notes for Elizabeth Tucker
After Samuel's death, Elizabeth moved to Florida and married 25 Aug. 1839 in Alachua Co., FL, Simeon Harvey (Bk 1, p 42). Elizabeth's second husband, Simeon Harvey died 18 June 1864 at Cedar Kay, during the Civil War and Elizabeth received a pension, Certificate #150803, applied for on son James W. S. Harvey's service in the Union Army, receiving $8.00 a month, commencing 7 Dec. 1864, although the claim was not completed until 1871. Elizabeth in her affidavit for pension made on 16 July 1866, stated she was 54 years of age, and further stated her husband Simeon Harvey was a sickly man and never entered the war and that even before the war she was being supported by her son, James W. S. Harvey, who died 6 Dec. 1864.

Elizabeth had at least seven children by Simeon Harvey:

(1) Simeon, Jr., born 1839, killed in the Civil War in VA in Oct. 1862, married Martha E. Parker in 1860; Hannibal, born 1841, married Caroline Fletcher in 1860;
(2) Richard, twin born 1845;
(3) Georgia Ann, twin born 1845, married John M. Glover in 1861;
(4) James W. S. born 1846, Union Soldier, died 6 Dec. 1864;
(5) Virginia C., born 1849, married Seth Stevens and had 5 children. She made affidavit in behalf of her mother's pension;
(6) Joseph W. Harvey, born 1852.

Son of Thomas and Harriett Elizabeth Goodbread, was born about 1808, Camden Co., GA and married 7 Dec. 1830 Elizabeth Tucker, daughter of Thomas Tucker. Samuel and wife moved to Glynn Co., GA where he died about 1838. Thomas Tucker deeded slaves to his daughter, Elizabeth Goodbread in 1834 (Camden Co. Bk M, p 225) and Samuel Goodbread was the Administrator of his father-in-law's estate in 1835. Samuel Goodbread had a grant of 288 acres in Camden Co, dated 28 Sept. 1839 (GA Land Office Records, Bk T, p 606).

Samuel T. and Elizabeth (Tucker) Goodbread had two children:

<2> Thomas Samuel Goodbread.
