HOUSTON - Alan M. Obsta, 51, of Houston, died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997.
He was born Aug. 3, 1946, in Victoria, to Nealy A. and Irene Martin Obsta of Victoria. He served in the Navy Reserve for 20 years. He was a graduate of SWTSU, St. Joseph High School and Victoria College. He was an administrative computer specialist for Pan Energy & El Paso Gas Company. He was a Catholic and was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus.
Survivors: wife, Paula Bowen Obsta; daughter, Amy L. Obsta of Houston; sons, John M. Obsta and Paul A. Obsta, both of Houston; and sister, Jamie Bazar of Victoria.
Preceded in death by: daughter, Shannon Obsta.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, the Rev. John Keller officiating.
Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of VFW Post No. 4146, American Legion, CWV, DAW and Marine Corps. Rosewood Funeral Chapels, Victoria, 573-4546.
