HARRISBURG, Ark. Woodrow McCarty, 81, of Harrisburg, Ark., died of heart failure Friday, March 20, 1998 at his residence.
His funeral is tentatively planned for Sunday at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Nowell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Mr. McCarty, a retired employee from Davis Furniture Co. in Memphis, was bom in Athens, Ala. on Nov. 7, 1916.
Survivors include his wife, Dorotha McCarty of Harrisburg, Ark.; one daughter, Jeanette Smith of Clarksdale; two sisters, Ilia Dean Pipes of Trumann, Ark. and Eloise Hill of Harrisburg, Ark.; and one brother, James M. McCarty Jr. of Trumann, Ark.
