INDEPENDENCE - Lois B. Wright, 72, died Wednesday in Corvallis. She was born in Salem and lived in Dallas for 16 years before coming to Independence two years ago. She was a homemaker.
She married George H. Wright on July 14, 1972, in Carson City, Nev. She was a member of the Toledo Eagles Lodge Auxiliary, and she enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Allyn L. Bennett of Dallas and Ronny L. Bennett of Salem; daughter, Donna M. Morey of Cold Bay, Alaska; brothers, Ernest Barnes of Salem, Floyd Barnes of Waldport and Ed Barnes of Blodgett; sisters, Beverly French of Tidewater and Nixie Countryman of Bend; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Howell-Edwards-Doerkse'n mortuary. Private interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland.

Walter F. Bennett4438A memorial service was held Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Huston Funeral Home for Walter F. Bennett. 74, of Lebanon. who died Friday, Nov. 11, at Lebanon I Community Hospital. Pastor Richard Headings officiated.
He was born March 13, 1914. in Yakima, Wash. When he was a small child, his family moved to Kamiah. Idaho, for a time before returning to Washington. He came to Oregon in 1928 and lived in Salem. He came to Lebanon in 1947 and was employed by Champion-International until his retirement in 1976.
He was a member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge. He married Irene Rhoda in 1949 in Stevenson. Wash. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Allyn Bennett, Dallas, and Ron Bennett, Salem; two daughters, Donna Morey of Keizer and Carmen Hampton of Salem; five sisters, Ruth Arnold of Coos Bay, Edna Cooksey, Donna Jeffers and Joy McDermitt, all of Salem, and Pennv Smith of Yachats; 12 grandchildren, and 7 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Assocaition or the American Cancer Society asnd left at the funeral home.
