TIDEWATER - Jace Bennett, 16, died Thursday in Yachats as a result of a shooting incident.
A native of Quantico, Va., he lived in Texas before coming here a month ago. He had been a student in Texas, central Oregon and Eddyville.
Survivors include his father, Allen, and mother, Lee, both of Tidewater; his grandparents, Walter F. Bennett, Lebanon, and Lois Wright, Dallas; brothers, Ezra and Rodney, both of Texas, and sisters, Janie and Allana, both at home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Eureka Cemetery, Newport.
