Lola Mae Bowling, 84, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was born on March 12, 1927, in Ash Flat, Arkansas, daughter of Thomas and Ida Mae (Martin) Drake. She departed this life on October 7, 2011, at Fayetteville City Hospital in Fayetteville.
Lola was united in marriage to Coy Lee Bowling in 1945. She worked as a sales clerk for Wal Mart and she was of the Baptist faith.
She leaves to mourn her passing: one son, Coy Lynn Bowling of Ft. Meyer Beach, Florida; two daughters, Lana Hudson and husband David of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Teresa Shelden and husband Randy of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two brothers, Boyce Drake of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Ivan Drake and wife Pat of Wenachee, Washington; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Regina Bowling, parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011, 10:00 AM, at Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. David Hudson officiating. Interment was in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. No visitation.

Coy Lee Bowling, 73, of Salem4517 Coy E. Bowling of Salem died Wednesday (Nov. 1, 1995) at the Fulton County Nursing Center. He was 73.
Mr. Bowling was born in Oxford Sept. 20, 1922, and married Lola Drake in 1945. He was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for Mountain Equipment Company in Mountain Home and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Roger Hunt of Leicester, England, and Coy Lynn Bowling of San Francisco; two daughters, Lana Hudson of Cotter and Teresa Shelden of Harrison; seven brothers, Charles Bowling of Ft. Worth, Texas, John Bowling of North Little Rock, Shelby Bowling of Kansas City, Mo., Clarence Bowling of Beaumont, Texas, James Bradley Bowling of McAlester, Okla., Buddy Bowling of Salem and Bob Bowling of Springfield, Mo.; five sisters, Frances Holt of Jonesboro, Nova Gaines of Overkand Park, Kan., Ola Faye Veazey of Pine Bluff, Betty Johnson of Thayer, Mo., and Nadine Rough of Kansas City, Mo.; and 8 grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home with Bro. David Hudson and Bro. Everett Isom officiating. Pallbearers will be Joshua Hudson, Jeremy Hudson, Randy Shelden, Shelby Bowling, Charles Bowling, John Bowling, Clarence Bowling, James Bradley Bowling, Buddy Bowling and Bob Bowling.
Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery.
