Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in The Church of Christ at The Colonies with Mr. Dick Marcear officiating. Private family burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mary Jo was born in Booneville, Miss., to Paul and Verda Wright McCullar. She moved to Dallas as a teenager, where she worked in the insurance industry for many years. She married Robert Bauman, and they moved to Amarillo in 1966. Mary Jo was extremely involved with benevolence work through the years in the Amarillo community.
As an active and involved member of The Church of Christ at The Colonies, she organized food drives, funeral meals and other activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Patti Widener and husband Glenn of Portland, Ore., and Mary Ann Smiley and husband Rich of The Woodlands; a son, Chris Bauman and wife Tracy of Klein; and six grandchildren, Katie Collins, Ben Smiley, Dan Smiley, Chad Bauman, Bonni Bauman and Molli Bauman.
