STARKVILLE - Mrs. Mary Evelyn Baucan, 91, died Friday in the Oktibbeha County Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Columbus with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
A native of Arkansas, she had lived in Columbus for 36 years and moved to Starkville last year. She was a member of Lee's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Opal Trammel of McAlister, Okla.; sons, John C. Baucan Jr. of Caledonia, Ruben Baucan of Aberdeen, and J.D. Baucan of Columbus; and sister, Mrs. Julie Gray of Huntington Beach, Calif.
