(Ella) Cox of Tucson, Sandra (Tom) Roberts of Chandler, AZ, Debra A.; (Russ) Schreiber, Vickie L Lawson, Larry J. (Teresa), Cox, all of Tucson, Lynette (Bob) Dillard of Mesa, AZ, Julie C. (Patrick) Dick of Thatcher, AZ, Marjorle S. (John) Rosier of Upland, CA, and Michael P. Cox of Marana, AZ; stepsons, Kenneth R. Gowin, Jr. of Safford, AZ, James K. Gowln and Edmund M. (Sandra) Gowin, all of Diamond Bar, CA; sister, Dorothy Graves of Centerllne, MI; sister-in-law, Pearl Cox of Tucson; 32 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cox was born November 30, 1919 in Paducah, KY, to Isom Gilbert and Willie Elva Brown Cox. He moved from Michigan to Arizona in 1946. His mother and stepfather, Willie and Joseph McKee, deceased, formerly owned Ma & Pa's Cafe on S. 6th Ave.
In November, 1945, he married Patricia Ann Pardon and they had seven children. Then, In March of 196S, he married Judy Gowin. They had three children.
He was employed by University Sales and retired in 1981 from the City of Tucson Maintenance DepL Mr. Cox was a member of the F O E Aerie 180, Tucson and Elk's Lodge In Safford, AZ. Services, Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, wld F.O.E. Aerie 180 officiating. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY ft CEMETERY.
