Henderson, Texas, Sept. 24 (Special). G. S. Strong, 85, member ol one of this section's pioneer families and native of Church Hill where he was born July 13, 1862, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Langley, Beckville, Texas, at 9 a.m. today.
He was a son of the late Thornton Strong who came to Texas from Georgia.
Funeral will be held at New Prospect Thursday afternoon.
Surviving are hia widow! two daughters, Mrs. Langley, and Mrs. Tom Bassett. Marshall, Texas; five sons, Ernest Strong and Roy Strong both of Marshall, Texas; Russell Strong, Fort Worth, Texas; Guy Strong, Orange. Texas; and Lonnie Strong, Henderson; two brothers, John T. Strong, Concord, Texas; and Jeff Strong, Henderson, Texas: and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Freeman and Mrs. Oscar Leopold, both of Henderson.
