William Walter (Bill) Jones, 66, passed away at his home in Harwood, TX, Sunday, May 24, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Bill was born October 20, 1948 in Austin, Texas to Willie G Jones and Dorothy Louise Neal Jones. He was the oldest of 2 children. Bill was a resident of Austin until 2005 when he and wife Pat moved to Harwood, TX where he re mained in retirement until his death. Bill was forever a United States Marine, and after the service worked over the next 25 years in Austin as an independent paint contractor. He then worked for the Texas Building and Procurement Commission as a plumber for many years where he met his wife Pat.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie (Bill) and Dorothy Jones.
He is survived by his best friend and wife, Pat Jones; his brother Darrell Jones and family; his daughters Shari Moreland and Kathleen McDonald, and sons Sidney Christopher Zoch and Lonnie Dwayne Jones; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Bill is also survived by his dear friend David Murphy of Austin, who was like a brother to Bill and Darrell and the Jones family. Per Bill's request, there will be no funeral services or memorial. Bill will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him, he had many good friends in the Austin area over the years so the family wanted to share the news of his death.
