Services for Mrs. Oberia Myers McGalliard, 58, of Alexander Rt. 1, who died Tuesday at her home, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Grandview Baptist Church.
The Revs. Alfred Taylor, Marvin Ponder, Coy Parham and Clarence Davis will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Zeno and E. Y. Ponder, Ernest T. and Hilliard T. Teague, John Hensley and Albert Baldwin.
Mrs. McGalliard was lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Youngstown Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are the husband, Sanford McGalliard; three sons. Sperling of the U. S. Army in the Panama Canal Zone, Conley of Asheville and Arvil McGalliard of Fairview; six daughters, Mrs. Guy Ingle of Asheville, Mrs. Dorothy Reid of Alexander, Mrs. Bob Ingle of Fort Hood, Tex., Mrs. Lloyd Rogers of Hendersonville, Miss Margie McGalliard of Asheville and Miss Kathleen McGalliard of Austin, Tex.; the father, Robert Myers of Alexander Rt. 1; four brothers, Dewey of Portsmouth, Va., Thadus of Greenville, S. C. and Richard and Willard Myers of Skyland; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Astelosh of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Alice Morris of Baltimore, Md.; and 18 grandchildren.
The body will be taken to the residence at 11 a.m. Thursday by Bowman-Duckett Funeral Home, Marshall, where it will remain until the service hour.

WEAVERVILLE - Sanford G, McGalliard, 91, of 71 Sugar Creek Road, died Saturday, July 1, 2000.
Mr. McGalliard was born Nov. 16, 1908, in Madison County, where he lived most of his life. He was a resident of Buncombe County for the past 22 years. He served in various Baptist churches as deacon and Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. Sanford was the son of the late Joseph and Mattie Keyes McGalliard, and husband of Oberia Myers McGaliard, who died in 1971, and Nilas Hunter McGalliard, who died in 1985. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Reid.
Surviving are his wife, Delpha Honeycutt McGalliard; five daughters, Tina Ingle of Mills River, Doris Ingle of Marshall, Kathleen Chambers of Alexander, Katherine Stepp of Weaverville and Margie Ingle of Hendersonville; three sons, Sterlon McGalliard of Panama, Conley McGalliard of Fairview and Arvil McGalliard of Alexander; one sister, Texie Higgins of Mars Hill; 24 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
