L. B. Campbell Passed Away Sunday Night241L. B. Campbell, born September 11, 1880 in Leander, passed away at his home Sunday night at 9:15 after a brief illness. 
Mr. Campbell came to Taylor in 1910 and was connected with the I. & G. N. Shops up until 1922. He served two terms as City Commissioner when the commission form of government was first established here. For the past several years he had been connected with the City Schools, serving as engineer. 
The deceased was a Deacon member of the First Christian and recently was made an Elder of the church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was married to Miss Frances Harris of Georgetown on November 16, 1902, who survives him. 
The body will lay instate at the Gilstrap Funeral Home until 3:30 Tuesday afternoon when it will be taken to the First Christian church where funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 with the Rev. F. J. Ross, assisted by the Rev. A. G. Abbott of Electra former pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor City cemetery with the Masonic Lodge in charge.
Pallbearers will be: Steve G. Gernert, Joe M. Spiegel, M. B. Conoley, E. T. Robbins, V. G. Harkins, apd Chas. K. Ryan. 
Honorary pallbearers will be all of his friends. 
His survivors other than his widow are; two sons, Lt. Wm. Campbell of Wilmington, Delaware; and Harris Campbell of Houston; two daughters, Miss Maude Campbell of Taylor; and Miss Dorothy Campbell of Houston; one brother, C. B. Campbell of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. John Bell of Spur, Texas; and Mrs. Joe Hiner of Lawton, Okla.
