The Rev. Gordon Lindley of Cmanyon Lake will conduct services for John C. Heathcock, 67, at 10 a.m. Monday In Zoeller Funeral Home's chapel. Burial will follow at Cranes Mill Cemetery. Mr. Heathcock, of Rt. 9, Box 244V, died Saturday, Nov. 12 at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. He was born Sept. 1, 1916 in Southerland Springs. His parents were Jack and Maggie Heathcock. He married his wife, the former Geraldine Canton, In Oklahoma on Oct. 23,1970. He was a Comal County resident for the past five years. Until his retirement, he worked in maintenance at the San Antonio State Hospital. He was a member of the Canyon Lake Church of Christ.

Mr. Heathcock is survived by his wife; three stepdaughters, Edna Mae Query of Oklahoma, Deletes Bauer of San Antonio and Lydia Shearman of Austin; seven stepsons, Charles Query of Louisiana, Jack Query of Montana, Thomas Harper of Dallas, Billy Harper of San Angelo, Glen Harper of Paint Rock, Jimmy Harper of San Antonio and Dean Harper of San Angelo; 27 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be given to the Stephen C. Cohen Foundation for Oncological Research.
