Milton “Buddy” Ray McCombs passed quietly and peacefully into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior at 1:30 PM on August 15, 2016.

Buddy is preceded in death by his son Michael Ray McCombs.

Buddy was born February 28, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas to Willie Dee and Dollie Mae McCombs.

Buddy was a graduate of Harlandale High School in San Antonio and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. In 1956, Buddy married the love of his life, Eva Hoy. Buddy worked in the oil and gas industry as an electrician. Hunting and fishing were passions of his that were passed on to him from his father. One of Buddy’s greatest joys was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eva, and their children David McCombs and wife Cathy, Linda Goodale and husband Brad, Pamela Urban and husband Kenny, James McCombs and wife Victoria, and sister Dollie Rigdon and husband Bobby. Buddy is survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was known as “Pops” to them and proudly leaves them as his legacy to the next generation.

A celebration of Buddy’s life will be held Friday, August 19th at University Baptist Church, located at: 16106 Middlebrook Drive, Houston, Texas 77059. There will be a Viewing open to the public on Friday, August 19th from 9 AM to 9:45 AM, a service celebrating the life of Buddy McCombs will directly follow the Viewing and will being at 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN). The gifts received will be used to drill water wells in undeveloped nations in Buddy’s name. Please send your donation to the following address with the check made payable to CBN.
